What information is saved? Do they remember Apple ID and/or device?

Hey all I just have a quick question regarding the bans. I was banned back in June/July and have been using instagram on the web for the meantime. I am getting a new device so if i am deviced banned that should go away, however i remember hearing some people say that instagram also saves your apple id so even though you have a new device, you cannot make a new account, so i just wanted to ask you guys what you think about it and if any of you have experience with something like this, thanks!
