Swollen lump after getting braids

Has anyone experienced actual swollen knots on their head after getting braids? i’ve had swollen lymph nodes before but never a lump on my head. I went to an african braiding shop and im ngl my hair was tight AF but nothing where i didn’t think it would harm me or loosen up. it’s only been a week and it has I think it’s cute I got xs boho and I know I need to start investing in hypoallergenic hair because my scalp usually reacts the chemicals but always just itchiness or redness that passes after 2 weeks. I really don’t want to waste my money and take them out 😔
