Nipple piercings question

Hi everyone. After thinking about getting my nipples pierced for years, I finally decided that i am going to do it. While I am exited about it, I am also concerned about the pain that comes with getting this piercing. Of course every piercing has a certain pain that comes from it but from what i gather, the nipples seem to be quite high in terms of how painful it is.

Maybe this is going to sound like a stupid question but i was wondering if i should take Xanax before my appointment (i already have a prescription for them so don’t worry, i’m not taking them irresponsibly). I was wondering if it would cause me any issues if i did take them in regard to the piercing.
