I need some game suggestions

Hi, I am planning to call my friends at my place for my birthday and I really love the idea of me running a game on my laptop and everyone can just join in using their phones as a controller. I will connect my laptop to my TV through HDMI and I just want some games that we can play. I tried Pico Park Classic which was my idea but the controller app didn't work. I would really appreciate any recommendations into this niche topic. I am looking for free games as I am a teenager after all.
