What’s the most unexpectedly beautiful hike you’ve done in the UK?
Everyone talks about the big names: Snowdon, Ben Nevis, the Lake District classics, the West Highland Way. But I’m curious about the less obvious ones, the trails that caught you off guard with how stunning they were.
For me, it was the South West Coast Path around Hartland Quay. I went in expecting a nice coastal walk and ended up with sheer cliffs, waterfalls spilling into the sea, and wild ponies on the horizon. I barely saw another person the whole day.
So, where have you been that totally blew your expectations out of the water? Bonus points if it’s: • Easy to reach by public transport • Dog friendly • Has a good pub at the end 🍺
Let’s build the ultimate underrated UK hike list!
