Are there any players who started recently playing Dota from NA?

I’ve been in the US for the past 4 years for my studies, and that’s where I’ve been playing Dota.

I grinded through pubs and finally hit 9k MMR playing pos 3. But honestly, the most frustrating part is that the West NA server is basically dead, and East NA is filled with players from South America. It’s been a horrible experience—people trade MMR, ruin games for no reason, and I have no idea what they’re saying most of the time. I haven’t met actual North American players in ages, so I kinda feel like NA Dota is truly dead.

So I’ve always had this question in mind: are there still any new players from NA? When and why did you guys start playing, and what’s your story?
