I have a sister!
Hi, apologies in advance if I type erratically. My estranged mother (I went no contact 5 months ago and we are now very low contact) has had a baby, which means that I now have a sister!!!! and the world seems a bit less lonely.
Now I'd love to meet her but I don't know what to do. I can't go anywhere near my mum because I have PTSD, and I can only imagine it would be worse with her boyfriend there (who is the father).
I'm actually crying- I really want to see her, and have a relationship with her, and to form that bond. I believe that this could be the first chance for me to actually form a bond with a family member that isn't plagued from the start.
I don't know what to do, should I disassociate and just go to the hospital, or should I wait a few years? but if I do that my mum may indoctrinate her; If I wait and see her after a few years, and if my sister treats me with disdain or contempt I don't think I could live.
Help? I'm 18yo female for context. I think I ought to be quite calculative when approaching this because I really don't want to mess this up. I feel so happy, I feel like this is God blessing me.
