(Help) Transitioning from forex to stock trading

Advice

Hey everyone,

I've been a struggling forex trader for the past nine years, which I'll admit feels a little embarrassing to say.

Despite that, I've managed to secure and maintain a $400k FTMO prop firm account since May, showing consistent profitability. My current profit factor is about 1.30, so it's nothing spectacular, but it's a solid start.

For years, I often ignored the incredible gains stock traders were reporting, especially since they had easily verifiable statements to back them up. This kind of transparency is rare in the forex world, which always made me question the true edge a retail trader could find in the currency markets.

It wasn't until I saw Lance Bretstein on X (formerly Twitter) discuss the highly efficient nature of forex that I started looking into the stock market more closely. The results were quite compelling: people are making significant money, often with verified platforms like Kinfo providing transparency.

I'm now determined to transition into stock trading. I fully understand that trading is a lonely pursuit and that ultimate profitability rests solely on my own shoulders. However, I have zero experience in the stock market and am completely new to terminology like "gap up" and "red to green."

I'm currently learning the basics, but I'm looking for recommendations on free resources to get started and build a strategy.

Ideally, I'm hoping to avoid another paid course. After nine years in forex, I'm exhausted from spending money on courses. It was only when I cut out all the external noise and focused purely on my own system that I finally found some profitability.

Thanks so much for reading my rant. I'm feeling a bit low right now after my worst month in October (I mainly trade EURUSD). Any guidance on quality stock trading resources would be greatly appreciated!
