A week ago I was crying over him — today, I’m busy loving myself. 💅 26 F 28M

Relationships

A week ago, I posted about a situationship that left me emotionally exhausted! the love-bombing, the mixed signals, the confusion… all of it. I was stuck in a loop of checking his Instagram, unblocking and blocking him, and doing all those cringy things we do when we’re not ready to let go . It’s honestly crazy how much can change in just a week if you really decide to move on and focus on yourself. I can’t believe how different I feel already lighter, calmer, and so much more like me.

Back then, I was living in my imagination and the past, constantly rewinding memories, trying to understand what went wrong. But now, I finally feel the peace I used to crave while I was with him. Sure, I still get flashbacks sometimes, but now I just open Netflix and get lost in a good thriller. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but one day, your brain just stops replaying everything and that day feels like magic.

I started going for morning runs, studying my ass off, doing skincare, and keeping myself totally occupied. Slowly, the overthinking faded, and my peace started to grow. It’s crazy how my brain doesn’t replay everything about him anymore. It still stings sometimes, but way, way less. I laugh more, overthink less, and genuinely enjoy my own company.

We don’t talk enough about how important it is to give yourself time to heal instead of jumping from one person to another. Once you start doing things for yourself, you realize how beautiful and peaceful life can feel.
My mantra now? Time heals everything. And I truly, deeply believe it. You should always know what you bring to the table and never forget your worth. I’m falling in love with myself again, and honestly… it’s the best relationship I’ve ever had. 💫

And if I can do it trust me, you can too. Give yourself time, love, and patience. The peace that’s waiting on the other side is so worth it. 🌿
