Making sense of Lordran

Lore

There's so many different theories regarding this world, I decided to come up with my own based purely on exploration and felt atmosphere.

Lordran is the holy land, birthplace of all living things. The first flame brings about a curse that ages people's minds(drain their soul/humanity) rather than their bodies, turning them into feral zombies over time. The undead curse.

Killing something allows you to steal their soul to make their own greater. But in Lordran, only part of it since no one fully dies. If one has a large enough soul, they can sacrifice it at the kiln to "make Lordran great again", essentially halting the effect of the curse, for a time.

This is a bittersweat idea, killing millions to save millions. You want it so bad to be real but all you can get is a nation of zombies and piles of corpses to your name. It ties in perfectly with Gwyn's theme, the song of a man that's so desperately holding on to an unsustainable idyllic past.

I'm sure item descriptions disagree with this theory but I like it. It makes sense and fits the atmosphere.
