Did I do the right thing
So for context I'm 15f and my ex is 15m and a few nights ago, I was stalking a few people (I'm nosy and interested by a lot of people ðŸ˜) and my ex crossed my mind because we haven't spoken in like two months. I don't have him on any social media but I do know his reddit so I checked it idek what I was expecting to see I was just curious, and I saw he'd made a post about being really depressed and how he told his mum and she listened but hasn't helped him.
Id known he was depressed when he was with me, but when we broke up he explained that I made everything worse (HORRIBLE phrasing he was nice about it but that's the gist) and he was doing so much better without me. It was comforting that at least he'd be ok, so it was awful to find out he's still really depressed. I realised I still have a lot more care for him than I thought I did.
Im on a support group chat for women on Instagram and I was crying to all of them about it, and they all told me to send the post to his mum. I didn't want to at first because I thought I shouldn't get involved and then I thought maybe just one of his friends, but they told me no because I shouldn't put the weight of knowing about this on another teenager. All these women are in their 20s and 30s and one had lost a close friend to suicide so I trusted their judgement and sent it to his mum, but I've been stressed ever since.
I feel awful that I even saw that post, and I feel really guilty that I got involved. I'm scared I might've made things worse if maybe his mum got upset that he posted about her, I'm scared he'll be upset that she's seen it, and Im regretting sending it but I also think I'd regret not saying anything because what if I could've said something and he got worse and I could've helped, but didn't? I don't know. I'm really conflicted and anxious
