The Battle of Dinboz, Aydoğdu’s Killer, and His Son
Aşıkpaşazade mentions that Osman Gazi said to his son Orhan:
“Son, go around the fortress(Bursa), the father of that infidel caused the death of my Bay Hocam in the Battle of Dinboz.”
However, Aşıkpaşazade seems to have made an error. It wasn’t Bay Hoca who fell at Dinboz, but Aydoğdu, the brother of Aktemur.
But in the series, the Battle of Dinboz and Aydoğdu haven’t been shown at all. It would actually make sense if the writers showed Flavius’ father as Aydoğdu’s killer, and Osman saying, “Flavius’ father killed Aydoğdu.” That way, both Aydoğdu and the Battle of Dinboz could be connected naturally and the event could finally be mentioned in the show.
For now, we can imagine that Flavius’ father, Muzalon or Valens, killed Aydoğdu, and Osman later took revenge during the time skip between Seasons 4 and 5.
This really makes sense for me
