Do guys give their favorite hoodie to girls they don’t have feelings for?

Ok so I hope this kind of question doesn’t break sub rules, but I just realized something about a guy friend last night who I have feelings for and I want your thoughts.

Last night for Halloween I was at a close friend’s house for a Halloween party. We had a lot of friends there and I had invited this guy I like (we are friends and have been for years) who we’ll call Stephen. Stephen had asked me the day before if I would pick out a Halloween costume for him because he had no clue what to do. I have suspected for a while that he might like me because he’s very shy but will offer me pieces of his food, will choose to sit next to me in group settings, etc.

Now last night it was raining where we all lived, and we had been walking around town looking at all the cool decorations and stuff. Stephen had mentioned a couple times that he has a hoodie in his bag if I ever wanted it if I got cold. At some point it got really cold so I asked if I could borrow it, and he gave it to me. I didn’t realize at first but it was his favorite hoodie. He mentioned how it’s kind of big on me.

Is this a normal thing guys do with female friends? Or am I just in denial that he likes me because I don’t want to get my hopes up 😭?
