Merge in turn heroes
Hi, I feel like having a petty rant. Today, I was on a dual carriageway which becomes a single lane with merge in turn signage. I'm in the right hand lane about half a mile from the merge, traffic builds up on the left and then a Tesco truck moves into the right to stop the merge in turn.
I don't get the mentality in this country, is it because we've taken queueing as such a part of national identity that we can't stand people following the highway code.
Also, as a professional driver surely it's the Tesco drivers job to know the rules. All that happens when you block the merge lane is you stop the flow of traffic.
I thought about complaining to Tesco but I don't want to get someone in trouble, driving in this country is a really unenjoyable experience at times. Side note: modern headlights are dangerous.
That's all.
