Bullying
My daughter is being bullied by a teacher. She is autistic. I’ve reported it numerous times to the school (vice principle) and sp ed dept. This teacher isn’t following her IEP. She is harassing her daily. For example: My daughter misses a lot of school due to Dr appts. All excused absences. The teacher always has comments about it, negatively. This was Wednesdays comment: “You’ve missed a lot of school, are you really going to the Dr when you say you are?” “Have you had your wisdom teeth surgery yet? No? Wow, you’ve missed so much school and haven’t even gotten it yet?” Or this one…”Your mom will not allow you to attend Saturday school for missed days (it is in the IEP) tell me how you will make up the days? You need to start staying after school to make it up” My kid is very autistic. She cannot take the trash out with help. She isn’t going to know how to make up classes. I don’t have time to write everything here that she’s doing to her. But her bullying is INTENSE. I pulled my kid out of school the other day and told the principal she wasn’t returning until an ARD was had and protective measures are put in place. This teacher is a sp ed teacher. She works in the “base” classroom. A few other base teachers are in there too. This teacher is NOT assigned to my daughter as her case manager/base teacher. Base is where the kids go when they need a break from reg classes. What can be set in place to keep this lady away from my kid?
