Anyone attempted a “kill everyone” playthrough in 2?

I’m a big fan of the murder hobo playstyle for these games so the moment I got to Eden I started killing everyone in site. As far as I can tell Niles and Val join you no matter what, but I’m curious has anyone gotten decently far with this playstyle?

Right away I noticed it’s a lot harder than it was in the first game. I ran out of ammo taking all of Eden out and permanently aggro’d Auntie’s Choice.

In the first game I did a playthrough where I did every side quest and explored every inch of every map and it took like 30 hours. Next playthrough I killed everyone and it took about an hour and a half to reach the credits. Is this game similar in that respect? Where if I just keep killing everyone I’ll skip over chunks of story and reach the end faster?

I plan on seeing everything the game has to offer with a separate character. Maybe I should do that playthrough first? What are yalls thoughts?
