Why were my neighbors taking pictures of me and my child during this?
Last night I took my kid trick or treating. He is 2 years old. He wore a costume. I did not. I did NOT see any other trick or treaters around us. We went trick or treating at 8pm. Only about 5 houses had candy after we walked through the whole neighborhood. (Does nobody walk while trick or treating anymore?) One of the first houses that had candy had 2 people come out. A man and a woman. I rang the doorbell and the 2 people took a few seconds to get to the door. Then when they showed up they seemed happy at first but the woman took a picture (or video?) Of my son with her cell phone right after her husband handed him candy. Why? I mean yeah he looked cute and all but isn't it kind of creepy to take photos of other peoples children without permission? She already had us on her ring camera anyways, why did she also need pictures of us on her phone?
Next: when we went to another house and waited for the person to answer he gave us candy when he finally answered. It seemed normal at first but when I turned my head around I noticed the house across from him had a lady standing at her front door with her phone camera recording me and my son trick or treating. When she realized I saw her she ran back into her house and then stayed in her house for literally a few seconds and then when she came back out of her front door again she kept staring at us.
This is also the same neighborhood where a few months ago my neighbors asked me if I lived here after I had already lived here for several months. It made me wonder if they thought I was tresspassing in the neighborhood or something.
