Nurse manager… actually took patients…

It was a bananas day yesterday and our nurse manager actually left her office and took over a full assignment for a few hours. She’s been here less than a year and came in from a different hospital system in town for the manger job. Apparently she had to ask some questions about some of the charting and didn’t know how to use the phone system. But damn if she wasn’t out here with a full assignment until charge could figure something out.

I haven’t really needed to interact with her much, and I’m constitutionally averse to change, so I’ve held off on forming an opinion until we see how it rolls out.

I mean she’s still management, but she got changed out of her smart clothes, got OR scrubs, and did the thing. I gotta respect that.
