Customer Service Sucks (kinda)

My Sense 2 broke this morning. One of the metal plates came off so I contacted support and it was a long frustrating hassle.

  1. They told me it wasn't covered under warranty anymore. So they told me I had to send it in, they'd inspect it (takes 5-12 days) and then send a replacement out POSSIBLY if they deemed it was malfunctioning equipment.

  2. I proved it was still under warranty for 4 more months. Then was told "Oh I see that now, don't worry about sending it in. We'll replace it."

  3. They expected me to provide receipt proof of purchase (almost 2 years ago) because they needed to verify that it was from an authorized reseller. I told them I purchased it through Fitbit. They said "We don't see that transaction in your purchase history. Please contact us again when you find out where you bought it."

  4. I provided proof via the website and he said he didn't see that on his end.

  5. I asked about a realistic time frame of shipping due to a medical condition I monitor with my watch and suddenly he finds my transaction on Fitbits logs.

In the end, I'm getting a replacement but it was a hassle and took about an hour of me proving them wrong. I think I'll be switching brands after this new one dies.
