Are lav mics the best solution to reduce vocal bleed between speakers?

Hi all, I often interview guests that like to move around and don't understand how to talk directly into a mic (aka, kids). Currently, I record each kid with their own Rode Wireless Go II transmitter with a fuzzy hat, clipped to their shirt, and recording internally. It works well and moves with them, but I get quite a bit of sound bleed even if I spread the kids apart.

Would a lav mic help minimize the sound bleed while still moving with the kids? If so, are there specific lav mics that you can recommend? I would need something wired so I could plug it into the Wireless Go II transmitters.

I am open to other ideas too. My goal is to let the kids be as free as possible (so they focus on talking and not recording) while recording their voices as best as possible.

Thanks!
