I need to register on a Japanese website, and phone number verification via SMS is required.

What is required

1. Please prepare a SIM card that allows you to obtain a Japanese mobile phone number. Career doesn't matter. All you need is to receive SMS (text messages).
2. When you’re ready, give me that phone number.
3. Forward the verification code (digit 4〜6) that you received by SMS when you were contacted.

Please keep your SIM card and phone number available for about a week until the registration process is complete. It doesn’t matter if it’s your main smartphone, but a separate or spare device.
