The Incredibles (2004) is an awful film.
On top of leaning hard into and building the entire premise on the absurd idea that some people are objectively more special than others, and that they are held back by the mediocrity of normies, every single interpersonal relationship in the story is highly dysfunctional. It’s just awful, and the fact that it is so well made and acted makes it that much more insidious.
Look at Rataoullie - Chef Guestau's anyone can cook mentality is a better lesson than what the incredibles taught us.
There have been better movies before and since the incredibles that didn't have to be as bland and dark as the incredibles.
