First time burning CDs, and I think the software is acting weird

Disclaimer: I am but a young girl who was and still is very tired. This may be stupid and easily answered by anyone smarter than me.

I recently tried to burn all of Yaelokre's songs onto a CD. They add up to a little more than 40 minutes, and way less than 700mb, which is the limit of my CD-Rs. I didn't know that CD-Rs could not be rewritten, so I wasted many a disk on this venture. All of the files are downloaded as M4A, transferred from my phone to my computer after downloading them from NewPipe. It wouldn't burn Kid & Leveret after adding 10 other songs, but it would burn that song with 3 or 4 other songs. Is there a 10 track limit? That doesn't make sense, but I lost the packaging so I don't know if that was stated. The CDs say maxwell, if that helps. I just woke up so sorry if this is weird. I can try to get images, but it won't let me insert the burned disks into the disk drive and I didn't take pictures when I was working on it.
