Forcing E5-2698 V4 TO FREAKING BOOST
Greetings so I recently just upgraded my HP Z440 to an E5-2698 V4 from a 1650 v4 and it's been good but I wonder why it isnt ever boosting above 2.7ghz on all cores. TDP is always under 115w and its temperature is pretty good at 54C max but it still doesnt boost higher than 2.7. I've tried every throttlestop and XTU option but nothing works HELP!!
People've reported being able to set BCLK to 125 on consumer motherboards and making it hit 3.3-3.5ghz but I can't do that on my crappy OEM workstation so any other alternatives?
Specs:
E5-2698 V4
4x8gb 2400mhz ECC ram (mixed)
EVGA FTW3 ULTRA RTX 3070
random dude's cpuz validator result: (he isnt even using a bclk oc btw):
Intel Xeon E5-2698 v4 @ 3391.91 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR
my result:
Intel Xeon E5-2698 v4 @ 2692.38 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR
weird how there isnt a pl/temp throttle
