Smoking Help Pre & Post Surgery

Endometriosis

If I'm in the wrong sub, or you recommend another sub please do

So I have to get a laparoscopy to see if I have Endometriosis, they found a nodule or mass in my scans.

I am a smoker, and I generally don't smoke that much in all honesty.

But at the moment I'm going through a really, really rough time in life and I am smoking more.

I don't want to jeopardise the surgery, I really need and want it done.

Has anyone got any advice on not smoking for 72 hours prior to surgery, and after surgery while healing?

Are there any nicotine Quit products that you advise? The gum and patches never worked for me.

If I'm on the verge of a cigarette, should I use a vape instead?

I'm afraid that I will end up smoking a cigarette if I go cold turkey.

Please, please no judgement on my smoking, I have my reasons, and it helps me cope. I really don't need a lecture, I get them all the time. I just really, really need advice.
