[Need advice] Looking for (gaming) headphones/headsets with very good surround sound
- Location: Europe
- Budget: 200 Euros
- Source: PC
- Connection: ideally USB directly/3,5mm
- Microphone: not needed, but wont mind if they come with one as long as its removable
- Usage: gaming (Dead by Daylight)
- Preferred music: everything synthwave but I got my IEMs for music
- Past gear: HyperX Cloud2, Simgot SuperMix 4 IEMs
Ive been using my Cloud 2 for a long time but had to stop using them due to some issues with my earrings. They have been sitting in a box all these years. I recently swapped the earring, which caused issues, but all the years in that box didnt do the Cloud 2s well, so I need new headphones. Since I needed to replace my inears a few months ago which I used on my phone, I got the IEMs (for music only). Right now Im mainly using my IEMs to listen to music but enjoyed them quite a lot during voice calls n meetings.
I used to play a lot of COD, CS2 and Battlefield with my old Cloud2, but these days I only play DBD and got away with using my AMP for playing as a survivor. It's not ideal, but it gets the job done. Now for playing as a killer, it's a different story. My AMP is insufficient, so I gave my IEMs a try to get at least some sort of surround sound in order to figure out if noises come from the left or right, but thats it. They are better than nothing but still not ideal, which is why Im looking for a pair of headphones with very good surround sound so I can really pinpoint those footsteps, grunts of pain and notifications while playing.
I already had a look around, but there dont seem to be any reviews for stuff based on surround sound, and the product descriptions/details are also not giving me much. So its hard to compare stuff.
Ive been using a Razer Naga V2 Pro for a few years now, and even though the hardware is very good, the software is driving me insane at least once per quarter of the year, but at least I know my ways with it. So naturally I read through some of the Razer products and came across the Blackshark V3, which at least on paper seems to be fitting my needs.
What are your recommendations for my needs?
Does anyone have experience with the Razer BlackShark V3 and could tell me if they would be a good choice?
