Quitting caffeine changes how your med woks
I have had a very bad anxiety for 4 weeks since I quit caffeine. Then I made a hypothesis that it's not caffeine withdrawal itself but the antidepressant (that I had started a year ago to be on to deal with anxiety) now works differently as I quit caffeine.
So I quit the med for 48 hours and the chest-aching anxiety is gone.
Apparently there's studies that explain this (tho they tested on mice). That if you've been on caffeine for a while and quit, the antidepressants don't work the same.
I'm gonna talk to my GP on Monday what to do about that med. Maybe I'll take only half a dose or something.
Just a heads-up, guys, in case your anxiety is lasting too long after quitting caffeine.
