Pokédex shiny odds?

I’ve seen that completing a dex entry increases the shiny odds. Does this mean getting it to level 10 or perfecting it? How much do the odds increase? I’m thinking of trying to perfect the dex as I play through the game again if this is the best way to boost shiny odds. Thank you!
