You’ll join a dedicated team working closely with our Lead Artist to expand the visual world of the game while maintaining consistency in tone and style.
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled 2D Artist capable of faithfully replicating our established art style and contributing original work within those boundaries. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency with artistic sensibility, understanding how to balance realism and stylization to evoke emotion and story.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality concept art, illustrations, and in-game assets that align with the project’s dark fantasy aesthetic.
- Match the painterly, textured style defined by the Lead Artist, realistic yet stylized, with strong lighting and dramatic contrast.
- Work collaboratively under the direction of the Lead Artist to maintain artistic coherence across all visual elements.
- Incorporate feedback efficiently and communicate openly with the team.
- Support the art team in achieving production goals and meeting deadlines.
Required Skills
- Strong portfolio demonstrating mastery of realistic yet stylized painterly techniques.
- Ability to match and sustain a predefined art direction with consistency.
- Proficiency in digital painting tools (Photoshop, or equivalent).
- Understanding of form, anatomy, lighting, and composition.
- Keen sense for mood, atmosphere, and storytelling through visuals.
- Excellent communication and reliability in a remote work environment.
Preferred
- Prior experience in fantasy or dark fantasy game art production.
- Appreciation for gritty, textured realism with mythic and emotional depth.
