Hey beardies,

First time growing a beard and I feel like I just have no idea what I’m doing. Got some questions for you all.

For context: This was originally a 2 and a half month old beard that I got trimmed down and cleaned up at a barber recently. The moustache was mostly untouched

1. Should I bring the neckline up? I’m not sure if it’s too low and neckbeardy or just my weight and face roundness is doing giving it that impression.

2. Once the hair grows more, can I expect it to cover my cheeks better or is it always going to be that annoyingly see through? I understand it’s not crazy patchy and I shouldn’t complain but I don’t know if it’s just me overthinking it or it genuinely looks bad.

3. My moustache doesn’t want to connect to my jaw, and the area under my bottom lip doesn’t want to grow any hair apart from my soul patch. Is it fine to leave it as is or should I be doing something more?

4. Is my actual chin too sparse? I feel like I have all of 6 hairs on my chin itself and then too much growing underneath, contributing to that sort of chinstrap look.

Should I keep growing it out and hope things fill in? Should I just go back to clean shaven or stubble and try again in a few years?

Any other tips or advice to give? I could use the help.

Thanks
