Guys what would you do? 👉👈

I’m an Asian girl working in a casual dining restaurant. Sometimes customers try to make jokes, and I feel awkward. When I ask my colleagues from European backgrounds, they’re often surprised by what the customers say.

For example, I once gave a customer the dessert menu, and when I came back five minutes later to ask what they wanted, the guy kept saying, “Do you want to dance?” I found that really rude and uncomfortable, but all I did was smile awkwardly.

Another time, when I was clearing plates, I asked as usual, “How’s everything?” The guy pretended to be angry and complained about the food. I said, “Okay, I’ll let the kitchen know,” and then they laughed and said, “Haha, I’m joking.”

This kind of thing happens quite often, especially with men around 50–60 years old (no offense). I honestly don’t understand why they say things like that. Is it a cultural thing or what?

What would you act if it happened to you?
