We gotta stop acting like regeneration characters are consistently as durable as they should be,only a few in fictional stories actually are as durable as they should be.

People scale certain characters who can hurt a character who an regenerate when it's obvious that authors only let that happen cause they wanna show off the characters regeneration, but it does make them look weak cause often much weaker characters could have killed them , almost or absolutely embarrassingly ,if they didn't have regeneration.

It's obvious when a character is plot nerfed ,if a villain actually was always as durable as they should be,the weaker characters or even the MC at times , wouldn't be able to win.
