swimming between GSC and Coco Cay

Highly experienced open water / marathon swimmer here looking to swim between GSC and Coco Cay and back when I'm there this winter for fun. What are the odds I can talk (or pay) one of the GSC lifeguards to look away (or kayak beside me) if I give this a try?
