Would she have followed up after date if she was interested?
I should have asked this question after my date on Monday...
I had a really nice conversation with someone through hinge for a couple days before asking if they'd be interested in meeting up for a coffee date.
She gave me her number and we talked a little over the weekend and she actually asked about meeting up on Monday.
An hour before the date I asked if she was hungry and switched it over to a dinner date at a restaurant that serves good burgers.
Of course she ended up being beautiful, smart and funny lol.
I was pretty excited and my more excitable talkative personality shined through lmao. uhohh. Hand gestures and all.
With that said I asked her good questions so she did plenty of talking herself. We both laughed, smiled, were engaged and interested in our conversation and our date lasted 2 hours.
At one point she asked if her photos looked like her and I enthusiastically responded, "you look great" and she said thank you.
I did get a little bit of a vibe that she might have thought I was a goober (goofy not to be taken serious guy). She never gave me clear signs she was interested but she also said that she has a lot of anxiety and she's a bundle of nerves (wears teeth guard at night lol).
After I paid for the bill we got up and I told her what a great time I had but actually was going to fist bump her lol, but she laughed and said no and put her arms out and we did a little hug similarly to how we did when we greeted one another..
She never texted me after at all to say she had a good time or to thank me for dinner.... To me that was my sign that she wasn't interested and I never reached out and now it's 5 days later.
It just sucks because I almost never meet someone I actually like very often and I would have really enjoyed continuing to get to know her. I really liked her.
Any thoughts on this? In retrospect, I should have texted her after the date saying I had a great time and I'd like to continue getting to know her if she was open to that.
A part of me kind of wanted to explain that when I meet someone I really like it's hard for me not to be really enthusiastic but that I calm tf down after a couple dates.
I didn't act weird or anything. I was cool and funny and fun, but I just know some people are freaked out by enthusiastic/excitable behavior. it wasn't over the top by any means but I know there's an intensity to my personality.
