Why do girls seem to avoid Indian guys? Honest thoughts wanted (my pub experience)

Hey everyone,

I’m an Indian guy in my 20s, and I had a confusing night out at a pub recently. Some girls seemed interested — one even wanted to dance with me — but her friends stopped her. Later, she was dancing and kissing other guys, just not me.

I even joined a group of white guys on the dance floor (one Black guy was with them too). He got pulled out to dance a couple of times, while I was mostly left out.

I take care of myself, dress well, and I’ve been told I’m good-looking. Still, it feels like people already have a stereotype that Indian guys are unattractive or only want hookups or one-night stands.

What’s confusing is that I talked to a few of those white guys, and they literally told me they came out just to hook up. So why am I being judged more harshly for something others are openly doing?

I’m not complaining — I just genuinely want to understand how people see Indian guys in social settings, and what we can do to change that perception.
