is JGLS worth it?
i’m seriously considering JGLS for the five-year LLB and i just want some real, unfiltered takes from people who’ve studied there or know it well.
i can afford the fees, but before dropping around ₹50–60l over five years, i want to understand what it’s actually like beyond the shiny brochures and fancy videos.
a few things i’m genuinely curious about:
-
teaching & academics: is the quality solid overall, or does it depend a lot on which profs you get? with a massive batch (1k+ students), do people still get proper attention?
-
placements: what’s the real scene like? how many get into top firms vs the average outcome? how’s the support from the placement team?
-
crowd & culture: people often say the vibe’s a bit elitist or cliquey is that true or just reddit exaggeration? do people mix well, or is it pretty segmented?
-
location & lifestyle: how’s sonipat in general? does being outside delhi affect internships or networking? is campus life actually fun or gets boring after a while?
-
student exchange: do students actually go abroad for a semester or is it only a small number? what’s the cost like, and do those exchanges add any real value career-wise?
-
overall value: for someone who doesn’t mind paying the fees but wants proper return academically and professionally would you still say it’s worth it? or would you go for a top nlu instead if you had the choice again?
would love to hear from people who’ve actually studied there good or bad.
pls be candid, i’m not after pr or rants, just the truth :)
