The official propagandist of the Russian Defense Ministry and VGTRK, Alexander Sladkov, writes that Russia is "re-educating" Ukrainians, and that to re-educate them "you have to kill, and kill a lot."
According to him, Russia is doing this reluctantly, didn’t even want to destroy Ukraine, so supposedly kills Ukrainians little by little, but the "doses" of killing are gradually increasing.

"I’m going to write something unpleasant now, but it’s connected to my feelings: we are re-educating Ukraine, as one would re-educate a close relative who has turned against their family.
And now I’ll quote an old, harsh, but not meaningless statement by Lesha Gyurza - not about Ukrainians, but about others: “We need to re-educate a nation, but to do that, we’ll have to kill, and kill a lot.”
So, the re-education of Ukraine is underway. But we don’t want to kill; we didn’t even want to destroy Ukraine. For eight years we endured Ukrainians killing Russians in Donbas, but our first missiles flew to Kyiv only after the large attack on the Crimean Bridge. Now everything is hitting infrastructure.
If we wanted to kill for the sake of re-education - we would have long ago used everything we have in abundance, as the Americans used nuclear weapons in Japan in 1945.
We are waiting for Ukraine to cleanse itself through small doses of our influence, but the doses are increasing. At first, the state called “Maidan Ukraine” will die from these doses. But at the same time, those whom Kyiv drives into the trenches are dying too.
Trump feels sorry for the dying Ukrainians, so he gives them more powerful weapons - which means they will die even more and faster. There will be Tomahawks - and more Russian missiles will fly toward Ukraine." - he writes on his Telegram channel.
