Hey dad, we're breaking up...

Need a pep talk

Hello potentially dads, I'm really in need of reassuring words in this dark moment, as my real parents would just belittle me & rub it in... So, I (24) and my partner (24) have been together for 4 years, married for 3. I know we got together really young and we really shouldn't have, but can't change that now. They were my first everything, I'd never dated anyone before or anything like that. Over our years together we've definitely had our ups & downs, I will own up and say a good bit of it was from me & my struggling mental health and how that impacted our relationship & how I treated them. They were patient for me for so long to try and get better, and I know growth isn't linear but after years of doing better & regressing, they've finally put themselves first. Obviously I'm upset & devastated, but I harbor no hate or anger towards them, again bc most the blame is on me. We're ending on good terms, still trying to work it out as friends while we also do things apart & on our own for a while. There's hope in the future that we may get back together, time will tell, but hopefully time apart will do us good to grow as people & to find & explore ourselves. A divorce will eventually happen when we get the money for it, for now I'm just really needing kind words and support as I'm feeling so lost & wrecked and trying not to let myself fall into a dark place. Thank you for reading and any advice given, it's appreciate.
