Why do we allow such an absurd amount of betting ads everywhere?

I don’t think betting should be banned, but like tobacco and alcohol, it’s not something that needs to be advertised is it? But we can’t go on YouTube, watch TV, go to a football match without being inundated with betting ads. Surly something can be done about this?
