Before speaking to alumni from IMI Kolkata, I honestly thought B-Schools were mostly about placements, case studies, and landing a corporate job like everyone else.\

But after a few conversations with alumni (through LinkedIn and open sessions), my outlook shifted completely

Networking & peer learning are underrated – Most said group discussions, projects, and late-night brainstorming sessions shaped their thinking more than lectures alone.

Industry exposure feels real – Regular guest talks from entrepreneurs and corporate leaders helped them understand what the market truly demands.

MBA builds resilience – Many mentioned the high-pressure environment helped them handle real-world challenges better

 What I took away

A good B-School doesn’t just give you a job, it gives you the mindset to build a career. And the alumni experience helped me see IMI Kolkata as a place that shapes professionals, not just degree holders.
