Why is homosexuality so aggressively promoted in Hollywood TV series?

I’m really starting to get bothered by how every new TV series seems to follow Hollywood’s diversity quotas. It’s making me so uncomfortable that I’ve even stopped watching some shows I used to enjoy. Is it just me who feels this way?
