Advice?
So for a bit of context I (25F) got on birth control pills at 16 or 17 to regulate my period and help with acne and painful cramps. At 18 I was diagnosed with vaginismus and did PT to help with since I was unable to use tampons (with this there is still pain at times with insertion and sex but all is bearable).
In July of this year I had an IUD (Kyleena) inserted since I began to have severe cramps, bad acne, and irregular periods while on the pill. During insertion day the doctor had some issues with insertion due to my uterus being tilted and smaller than normal. In the end it was inserted and I went home and had been enjoying this form of birth control because I wasn’t having any pains with my period and my acne had even cleared.
Mid October I began to have stabbing pains with my IUD around my period beginning and scheduled an appointment with my GYN just to make sure everything was okay. Well the doctor and ultrasound tech saw that my IUD had moved to my cervix and told me my body was rejecting it and that it needed to be removed. It was that day and the doctor told me the same thing would happen again if she were to insert another IUD, so I was written a Rx for the patch form of birth control and the doctor alluded to thinking I may have endometriosis.
Since beginning the patch on 10/26 I haven’t had a period but I do have random cramping and my acne is back in full swing. So overall I’m not a huge fan of the patch already.
TLDR: Been on birth control since 16/17, diagnosed with vaginismus at 18 that still causes occasional pain, my body rejected Kyleena, now on the patch but symptoms are returning.
Not sure if anyone has any advice on another form of birth control that would be an option for me other than the arm implant or just any advice in general?
