My old friend said to my face: you are a 5 and I am a 6, how should I respond/process this? Is she a NPD?
She has been my friend since we were 15 years old, now we are in our early 30s. About three years ago, when we talked about appearance, she said to my face, "You are a 5, and I am a 6."
I brushed off back then, but now I feel terrible about this:
-I already cut contact with her by earlier this year, because she always took advantage of me financially, during two years span of going out with friends, I always paid the bill, I am so fucking sick of her princess syndrome. She keep contacting me, I blocked her everywhere.
-I am not ugly, not fat, but I have always struggled with self-esteem. Mainly becuase my parents' sky high standard for me when I was a kid.
-She knew for several years, I questioned my appearance because my ex cheated on me.
Now I am thinking, is she a NPD? did she want me to suffer from low self-esteem intentionally? I felt past ten years being friend with her, is like a joke.
