Hi! I’m Dr. Mark Naufel, President of the University of Silicon Valley (est. 1887 as first polytechnic college in west coast of U.S)

Before this, I led an innovation lab at Arizona State University, working closely with Dr. Panch (from Tamil Nadu), who later became Director of the U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF).

Through that work, I got to collaborate with hundreds of brilliant students from India, many of whom have become lifelong friends.

As the son of Lebanese immigrants, I know how tough it can be to leave home, face visa challenges, and still chase your version of the American Dream. It’s not easy, but it’s possible with the right community and opportunities.

That’s why we built the Master of Business Innovation (MBI), a hands-on program for builders, creators, and entrepreneurs who learn by doing. It’s designed to be cost-effective and can be completed in just one year.
