DAE have alternative approaches to ground yourself, i.e. using witchcraft, and has it helped?
Witchcraft, whether you believe or know it works or not, is highly ritualistic, involves elements of similar OCD like tactics and ideas, and uses a lot of grounding techniques that seem a bit far fetched but may ease CPTSD symptoms.
On my days off I spiral HARD and I can't focus for longer than 5 or 10 minutes, on random stuff I want to do on my day off, before I spiral for an hour and this lasts all day.
If I am able to focus on something, like where I'm unable to spiral, like in public on the bus or running errands, it feels like pulling teeth like pure torture and I feel dirty and sweaty and gross for just existing in public.
So right now I'm trying to do a "banishing ritual" to see if it helps me focus.
I don't know if it will work and I'm curious purely if witchcraft has helped others or if it's a common/popular thing for people with CPTSD.
