Are repeated verses working?

I wrote a song about Gaza, and it has one verse repeated twice. I think the lyrics are good, and I decided to repeat them twice and gauge the effect. Does it work in strengthening their impact and emphasis, or just does it just sound boring and lazy? Very open to feedback. Thanks.
