Wasp problem great lakes usa

So i have had a yellow jacket issue for some months nowi see where they were entering in my soffit area.so i used store insecticide. Got the pro formula that kills instantly. Every time i would get a influx of them inside my home.ran across a post and a person recommended Alpine wsg. Used it 2 weeks ago and hundreds came inside a few hours later..shop vac and soapy water did the trick(not stung once all year amazingly) For a few days the amount was significant. Luckily most in my basement so not a huge issue. Now its mainly been 10-20 a day max.todays been the least with under 5 so far..that being said i had looked in my attic a while back and didnt see anything at the time BUT it was still semi warm then.its getting colder and i wanted to look at the inside of where they are nesting to see if i can see the actual nest and maybe seal it up better from there,i have already sealed it from outside(even tho i seen one crawl around the middle of the soffit so seems pointless!) My question is has anyone ever used a wasp fogger or bomb in a attic and did it work?or would i be better off waiting til dead if winter and go smash them all while theyre slow/hibernating..or even spray with the freeze type instant kill up there(my least fav option as maybe there is 20 and they come out like kamikazes at my head ) Sorry for the book..im kinda shook and desperate
