(Spoilers) NOTHING in this game is as frustrating as flea dodge
For all the frustrating bosses, for all the intricate platforming, NOTHING has brought me closer to straight up quitting than the absolute RNG-fest torture session that is godforesaken FLEA DODGE.
Survive for over a minute against total chance. The fleas will either totally miss you for 10 seconds at a time or will activate instant-kill mode and beeline for your ass in the perfect alignment to combo you with zero chance to recover.
But the biggest load of bullshit in this entire ordeal is the big flea. It's a "you lose" mechanic half the time. He'll charge you but miss the platform so while you're floating to avoid his huge hitbox, he'll snipe the platform and the new one will APPEAR ABOVE YOU. Literally no chance whatsoever to recover. The game just arbitrarily decides that this attempt is over now. If all your platforms are low on the screen when this guy appears, it's over. Everything else I'll accept is a skill issue, but this I will not. It's just a guaranteed loss at complete random because the game whims it.
If I ever replay this game I don't know if I'll ever get >!the last pale oil!< again if it means doing this garbage minigame.
The fleas in general can fall off a cliff. The grubs were victims but the fleas got stuck because they're dumbasses. The grubs never peeked on the player in the bath, the grubs never locked the reward for saving them behind three total RNG carnival games. I hope a DLC includes a bad ending for them.
Alright, rant over.
