How to get over fear of painting minis?

I love building them and I do enjoy painting too but I just worry I'll mess it up and then will have wasted them in a way. I have a big backlog of built and unbuilt but i just cant get over the fear of not doing things right?

My best minis are in my post history but ive only painted 11 (one being a brutalis)
