Are we losing the real meaning of feminism?
Lately, it feels like feminism has drifted from what it was truly meant to be, equality, self-reliance, and respect for effort to entitlement and dependency in some circles.
I’ll always respect a woman who works hard and builds her own. But I also think as a society, we’ve watered down the idea of empowerment by normalizing this culture where some expect handouts instead of contribution.
We need to go back to the version of feminism that focused on growth, independence, and mutual respect not competition or convenience.
What do you think? Where do we draw the line between empowerment and entitlement?
